The 7 most beautiful sunsets in Ibiza
For the most beautiful sunsets, you have to go to the west of Ibiza. All the beaches below and above San Antonio are actually worth an afternoon visit.
We at OneVillasIbiza have selected 6 beaches for you on the west side and also one on the east side.
Visit them and enjoy the drumming hippies, mojitos and sunshine!
Cala Salada
Cala Salada is the beautiful beach surrounded by hills of pine trees, which was used in the movie “In love with Ibiza.”
This bay is particularly popular with locals themselves and and private boat owners.
Our tip: climb over the rocks on the right to the small beach of Cala Saladeta. There are nice boathouses built into the rock face there. There are also trails here that are ideal for hiking through this piece of pristine nature. A beautiful bay also for snorkeling in the clear waters an enchanting sunsets of Ibiza. Enjoy live music and sip a mojito made by one of the beach vendors.
Or drive a little further to Cap Negret (Hostal La Torre) for a photo opportunity.

Cala d’Hort
Cala d’Hort is a small beach with a fantastic view of the island of Es Vedra that is just a few hundred meters from the shore. The beach itself is sandy on one side and more dotted with pebbles on the other.
Our tip: reserve a table at the Es Boldado restaurant and enjoy the best paella during sunset overlooking the sacred rock.
Cala Vadella
Cala Vadella is a beautiful large sandy beach surrounded by hills of pine trees. The water slowly gets deep which makes it perfect for children. On the beach there are some restaurants, bars and stores.
Our tip: eat a super-fresh “pescado de dia” (fish of the day) at Cana Sofia.
Cala Conta
From Cala Conta you have a magnificent view of the small islands scattered near the coastline. This along with the crystal clear turquoise water makes Cala Conta one of the most beautiful beaches on the island.
Benirras
Our tip: also visit the hip chiringuito Cala Escondida owned by Tess (daughter of Dutch actress Kees ter Bruggen, Teatro Pereyra). The beautiful nude beach is located to the left of Sunset Ashram down the steps.
Benirras is the hippy beach with sand and pebbles. In the afternoon, it is also a popular spot for boats to anchor. It is therefore a very beautiful place to watch the sunset with the famous view of the rock known as “Dedo de Dios” (the finger of God). There are also fun hippie market booths.
Our tip: have lunch at Beach Club Elements or go see the drummers of Benirras on an off-season Sunday. You can also take a beautiful tour by bohemian boat during sunset, also bookable through us!
The hippies at the back of the beach will keep drumming until the sun goes down. In July and August it does get very touristy and parking is far from the beach.
Boat Rental & Car Rental Ibiza
Thanks to our local knowledge, we offer boat and car rentals in addition to cozy homes. Explore Ibiza’s coves from the water or its roads in style.
Las Salinas
Salinas beach forms the southernmost part of the island. It is named after the salt fields in the south rent of villa Ibiza. Although the beaches of Es Cavallet and Las Salinas are not on the west side, you cannot ignore the beauty of the salt flats.
Our tip: At sunset, sit on the grass next to the supermarket Can Pep Tixedo and wait for the orange sky to reflect in the water surface of the salt fields. Magical!
We hope you have time and desire to visit these beaches. Don’t forget to bring your camera!
Thanks to Dutch Duo Wildlife for the photography of the Ibiza sunsets.
