In the dark months always feel the need to get away from cold Holland for a while? You don’t necessarily have to spend hours on a plane. Ibiza is an ideal vacation destination even in low season!

    1. Flights

Since this year, Ibiza does come at a very affordable price! From Eindhoven throughout the low season, twice a week, a Transavia plane flies to give you a wonderful vacation.

    2. Markets

Where you walk over the browned heads in summer while wandering among all the market stalls at the well-known hippie markets. Is there so much more to browse in terms of markets in winter. Less touristy, but more locally offered products or second-hand trinkets from home. Be sure to check out Cala Llenya market on Sundays with live music or soak up the atmosphere in San Juan. We have created a handy list of all the markets. These can be found here.

    3. Hiking

But during the winter months, there is nothing like seeing the beaches from a completely different perspective. The walks are organized by Toby from WalkingIbiza, it does not have to cost much: you may donate according to your own value at the end of the beautiful tour.

    6. Space

Where in summer you have to share every beach or terrace with hundreds of other Ibiza lovers, chances are that during this visit you can still enjoy some sunshine on a deserted beach or manage to get the best sun spot on the terrace.

    7. Mountain biking

Where summers are mostly spent relaxing with sangria and baking in the sun for hours, in winter months the island emerges as a perfect mountain biking haven. With routes straight through the mountains, beautiful views and wonderful descents, you can be satisfied after the ride with a drink useful on a, who knows, sunny terrace. We recommend renting your bikes from Kandani.

    8. Holidays

Ibiza is inhabited by many Catholic residents, because of this, a lot of value is placed on holidays such as Christmas. Streets are beautifully decorated during this period and squares are decorated with Christmas trees. There are also parades because of the Three Kings which is celebrated on January 6, this day is similar to our St. Nicholas parade/evening. In other words, island culture definitely grabs you these months.

Where in the Netherlands the days are dark and gray, Ibiza has its dose of sunlight waiting for you almost daily. A terrace in the sun, out of the wind can just mean you’re still warm even in your T-shirt.
