Destino
Menu: Tapas
Within walking distance of the 1785 white church, right in the heart of Sant Josep, is “Destino.” A Spanish tapas bar with Moroccan influences. Here you can eat all kinds of beautiful small dishes outside on the terrace, or in the cozy space inside. In the summer on Friday nights, there is also couscous.
Destino does not have a map. You can point to the dishes in the display case and the staff is happy to explain. Stews with lamb, beef or rabbit, not forgetting Moroccan spices Ras-el-Hanout and Harissa, prunes and almonds. But also vegetarian dishes such as stuffed eggplant or zucchini in soy sauce. If you are still hungry for dessert, the staff will come by with a tray of all kinds of pastries and other sweets and you can choose some.
We do recommend making reservations by phone. If you plopped right down in a nice spot on the terrace, don’t forget to check out the indoor area. Destino gives young artists an opportunity to exhibit and sell their work.
After dinner, there are plenty of nice stores around the restaurant for shopping. But the church is also worth a visit!
Should the large parking lot diagonally across from the church be full, take the first road on the right a little past the restaurant. You then enter a residential area, where there is always room to park.
