Cala Boix is located a few minutes west of San Carlos. It is best known for its different color sand. It is a lot darker here than on the rest of the island. The beach is surrounded by high cliffs and a fairly steep concrete staircase takes you down. There is a small beach bar where you can get some refreshments. Upstairs by the parking area, there are 3 fish restaurants that are especially popular with locals.
