Maya Beach Club
Cala Vadella is a beautiful sandy beach in the south of Ibiza. The two-year-old Maya Beach Club is located among the rocks and has valet parking service. You can really enjoy sitting there on the cool, modern terrace overlooking the bay, but our conclusion is: the price-quality is not right and the service could also be worked on! The menu is varied with fine fish and meat dishes, salads and sushi. Prices are average: starters range from 12 to 25 euros and main courses go from 22 to 28 euros, with the only outlier being the sea bass for 32 euros.
As an appetizer, we took the “sushi combo platter,” a chef’s selection of maki, niguiri and sashimi. Too bad, though, when we, while serving the main course (Creamy Pappardelle and the Hamburguesa de Wayu) asked what one of the sushi rolls was called, our waiter brushed us off with:
“I didn’t serve you this course, so I wouldn’t know. The chef does a different choice every day”.
We hoped for a moment that he would come back with the chef’s answer, but no, he didn’t bother.
Nice news though: the plan is to open a “Maya Harbour Club” at Marina Botafoc after summer 2017, especially for locals and other winter visitors.
