Talamanca is the sandy beach just past the village of Jesús and next to Marina Botafoch, less than a ten-minute drive from Ibiza town. After passing all the trendy beach clubs along the water, such as Rehab, the beach ends in a boulevard full of hotels and nice restaurants, with views of the bay. This is where you will find Restaurant Zaibiza.
You can’t miss the colourful terrace of Zaibiza! Lots of flowers and plants, and large, vibrant pictures of rock legends including John Lennon, Bob Marley and Mick Jagger.
Sabrina, who is the hostess - or, as she laughingly refers to herself, “The Super-Manager” – explains that owners Simone and Omar started the restaurant in March 2016 and that the cuisine is traditionally Italian.
Starters range from €11 to €23, while mains come in at between €18 and €28. We tried the “berry sexy” (€7.50), a smoothie with strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and apple, as well as the salmon salad (€15.00).
If you are interested in the artworks, the rock legends by Argentinian artist Ariel Gellida are probably going to be kept as a permanent collection, and during the summer of 2017 you will also be able to spot amusing little statues by Colombian artist Darien Cordoba here.
Finding a spot to park in Talamanca can be tricky. If you spot a free place in the residential area behind the boulevard, it is best to grab it straight away and walk a little further.
